Set in an enviable position, taking full advantage of the wonderful views of the River Dart and surrounding countryside, Jenny Wren is a cosy 2 bedroomed Chalet bungalow on an attractive, quiet, rural holiday park on the fringes of Galmpton village. There are no clubs, pools or playgrounds; just other privately owned and well maintained bungalows. Jenny Wren is situated on the border of Torbay and South Hams in an 'area of outstanding natural beauty' but is close to local supermarkets and town amenities of Brixham, Paignton, Torquay and Dartmouth. For nostalgia lovers, a ride on the Paignton to Kingswear steam train is an absolute delight. Excellent for walkers and dog owners with many walks on the doorstep, long or short! Dartmoor national park is within reasonable driving distance also. The ferry from Greenway Quay runs all year and in the summer months there are river cruises to Dartmouth, Torquay and Totnes. The village centre with local shop and character pub 'The Manor' is a 10 minute walk.

It is quiet and peaceful at Jenny Wren with it's own patio area at the front surrounded by maintained lawns. Here you can sit back and relax in tranquil surroundings and admire the stunning views of River Dart and right across to Dartmoor. There is also a convenient shop at the adjoining camp site. Inside the Bungalow there is a refurbished lounge with sofa, tub chair, LCD TV (+ freeview) and DVD player; open to fully equipped kitchen area with electric cooker, microwave, fridge with ice box, toaster and washing machine. The shower room has been recently refitted. Electricity, bed linen, towels and tea towels are included in the price. The beds are made up for you so you don't have to worry about a thing. One well behaved dog is welcome at no extra cost but must not be allowed on the furniture or beds. No smoking permitted in the bungalow. There is an allocated parking space. Further parking available at bottom of site. Lots of buses run to Torquay, Paignton and Brixham from the main A3022 which is about 3/4 mile from bungalow. The steam train runs from Churston station to Paignton or Kingswear which is also 3/4 mile away.

Rooms Description

The Bungalow sleeps 3 with 2 bedrooms (double and single). The Double room has a built in wardrobe and bridging units, bedside cabinets with touch lamps and wall mounted dimplex panel heater. The single room is equipped with a wardrobe, tallboy, bedside table and lamp and dimplex wall mounted panel heater. The whole of the bungalow is newly decorated and has rustic oak effect laminate flooring in lounge and bedrooms with tiles in the kitchen and shower room. For chilly nights there is the latest dimplex optiflame effect fire and slimline wall panel heaters so you will always be cosy and warm.

Specialities

One well behaved dog welcome free of charge. Lovely location. Excellent for ramblers/dog owners with country walks on the doorstep. Guests will receive a welcome pack on arrival to include a pint of milk, tea, coffee and sugar. Price inclusive of bed linen, towels and electricity.
