Situated in the delightful village of Otterton, the Kings Arms is the ideal place for visitors out for a walk along the scenic Otter Valley or on a drive to the coast to take rest and refreshment. The Kings provides for all tastes, with food ranging from a simple bar snack to a sumptuous three course meal in The Sam Pitman room. A great place to eat, stay or just relax with a drink we have a range of Largers, real ales, and soft drinks. The Kings Arms also incorporates Sam Pitman Function Rooms, available for bookings and providing a spacious and comfortable setting for up to 60 people

Otterton is ideally situated in the Otter valley offering outstanding walking and sight seeing experiences. There are many foot paths that run from the Kings Arms, take a stroll along the River Otter with its fantastic views and lots of bird life to see. A short distance from The Kings Arms is the Otter Estuary Nature Reserve and site of scientific Interest – an area of reed bed and grazing marsh 23 hectare reserve full of all kinds of bird varieties, overlooking the estuary you will find a bird hide where you can enjoy watching the birds that have escaped from colder winter climes, among them are wildfowl, waders, redshank, green shank, dunlin, common sandpiper, ringed plover, grey plover curlew and snipe. To name just a few. Carry on this walk and you reach the lovely seaside town of Budleigh Salterton where the estuary meets the sea, so don’t forget your cameras. The coastal resorts of Sidmouth and Exmouth are just a short drive away. With Ladram Bay only 5 minutes walk away from the hotel. Here you will find the private beach of Ladram bay and being part of the Jurasic Coast the stacks are educationally well worth seeing.

Rooms Description

New for this season two large rooms with four poster beds, why not treat yourselves for that very special occasion and enjoy a romantic weekend away. Business people catered for or just a weekend break away, come and enjoy the countryside on your doorstep, there is a campsite close by with entertainment and large child friendly heated swimming pool. There is a choice of double or twin bedded rooms and larger family rooms. Family rooms are equipped with double bed and two bunks for a maximum of four people. All rooms have en suite shower rooms, television, radio and tea /coffee making facilities. A cot can be provided in any room if required. We also have a room for dog owners, (well behaved dogs only) All prices per room including continental breakfast cereals, juice, tea, coffee A full English breakfast and evening meal available at an extra cost.

Specialities

The Kings Arms is open all day every day, serving a wide variety of traditional pub dishes, a good selection of vegetarian delights, sandwiches, daily specials and not forgetting the delicious desserts. All dishes are freshly prepared from the finest local produce wherever possible. Sunday carvery is a choice of two or three glorious traditional roasts, served with Yorkshire pudding and all the trimmings, a vegetarian carvery is available with prior notice.
