The Anchor Inn is an idyllic colour-washed hotel overlooking the sea on the east Devon coast. Beer is a delightful picture postcard village, once famous for its smugglers and the highly valued Beer stone, used in pottery and building such as St Paul's Cathedral, Westminster Abbey and the Tower Of London.
Our bars and restaurant specialise in fresh local seafood-though we offer a wide range of other dishes too, complemented by a comprehensive wine list. We serve fine ales too but would expect that from an inn located in the village of Beer. Our cliff top beer garden is very popular in the summer, while open fires keep our bars cosy in the colder months.
