The 4 star Grand Hotel is a 131 bedroom hotel on the Torbay seafront.

The Grand Hotel is a four star hotel occupying a prime position on the Torbay seafront and commands magnificent views over the bay and out to sea. In addition to all of the modern amenities you would expect from a hotel of this size and stature, we also boast one of the most advanced conference facilities in the South West and can accomodate anything between four and three hundred delegates.

The Grand can offer something for everyone; for the more active guest there is the leisure suite with 15 metre swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and sunbed as well as the multi gym, and after you can enjoy a treatment in the Beauty Salon. In the warmer months there is the outdoor pool, complete with fountain, children's play area and plenty of space in which to soak up the sun's rays. The spacious and elegant Compass Lounge has a feature bar and huge picture windows providing great views of the bay, the perfect place to just sit, relax and watch the world go by.

Rooms Description

The Grand Hotel has 131 bedrooms available in a variety of types. Standard rooms, double, twin and single are available with or without sea views. The Select rooms (Double and Family) and 7 Suites (one or two bedrooms) all offer sea views and en suite facilities with bath and shower and are decorated to a high standard. Room facilities include hospitality trays, remote control colour TV's, radio/alarms, hairdryer and basic toiletries as standard. Some of the seaview rooms have balconies.

Specialities

The Gainsborough Restaurant offers a delicious, seasonally changing selection of dishes from either The Table d'Hote or A la Carte menus. The focus is on locally sourced produce direct from the abundant Devon larder. The Compass Bar and Lounge offers generous comfortable seating with fabulous views and a menu of light meals and snacks throughout the day. In the summer, the Terrace Bar is a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a drink and something to eat, and in the winter months there is the heated terrace area so that you can enjoy the view by night, and stay warm!
