A country house hotel with restaurant located just one mile from the market town of Axminster in the Blackdown Hills, close to the Jurassic Coast and Lyme Regis

The Ridgeway Country House Hotel is perfectly located in the Blackdown Hills and has panoramic views of the East Devon countryside. The fabulous Jurassic Coast and the beautiful resort of Lyme Regis is a mere five miles away and the market town of Axminster and the River Cottage shop are just one mile away. The Jurassic Coast is famed for its fossil hunting and has a range of coastal walks. Travel further inland and you will find the historic hilltop fortress at Lambert's Castle, Honiton and Bridport. If golf is your game then there are courses The Axe Cliff Golf Club, The Lyme Regis Golf Club and the Windwhistle Golf Club.

The hotel began life in the mid eighteen hundreds as three cottages and was once an unlicensed cider house. Over the years, the buildings have developed to provide three star guest accommodation and top quality restaurant. The Ridgeway has three restaurants is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, and offers something for all tastes and occasions. The Rafters Restaurant is light and airy and offers a full a la carte menu. The Dining Room offers fine dining for up to twenty four people and a wide selection of food from a set menu. Finally, Granny's Parlour can be booked for exclusive dining for two to six people.

Each of our guest bedrooms has been individually designed with your comfort in mind. All rooms have a king size or super king size bed and have large and luxurious en-suite bathrooms. All are equipped with colour TV with Freeview, mini fridge, tea and coffee making facilities and direct dial telephone.
