Woodland Cottages are a collection of self catering properties located on a seventeenth century farmstead in the beautiful North Devon countryside. The listed stone and cob barns were lovingly converted in 2004 to create three high quality cottages, all with outstanding rural views towards Exmoor. The cottages are set in 24 acres with an 8 acre woodland for Eexploring and dog walks. There is also a large lawned area in front of the cottage patios, making this an ideal and safe location for energetic children and DOGS.

The cottages are superbly placed for exploring both Dartmoor and Exmoor and are just a two hour drive from the world famous Eden Project in Cornwall. Other attractions to be found within easy reach include The Tarka Trail, Appledore, Bideford,Instow, The Big Sheep, Rosemoor Gardens and the beautiful working harbour town of Clovelly. The cottages are also ideally situated for exploring North Devon and its beautiful beaches and magnificent countryside.

Rooms Description

Swallow Cottage is a spacious 3 bed (sleeps 6) cottage and was originally the farm's stock barn. Badger Cottage is another spacious 3 bed (sleeps 6) cottage and has two sets of large round pillars which supported the huge barn doors, set on either side of the cottage. Owl Cottage is a comfortable 2 bed (sleeps 4) which is suitable for partially disabled. The original features have been conserved and natural local materials have been used in the conversion of the properties. All are equipped with with dishwashers, washing machines, microwaves etc., CD player, T.V/DVD & freeview. Each is gas centrally heated with woodburner effect fires. Each has a large, private patio area looking out over our quite extraordinary views.

Specialities

Badger and Owl Cottages are suitable for partially disabled. Short breaks may be available in low season, please enquire. Dogs are welcome (upto 4) in each of the cottages for a small weekly charge.
