The Porter's Office sleeps four people in one double and one king (twin) bedroom, each with en-suite facilities. The brilliant location makes it perfect for guests to partake in a range of local activities. If you're a thrill seeker, then get the adrenalin pumping by taking part in some Tree Surfing: a treetop complex of ladders, jumps, swings and rope bridges gives you to freedom to explore the trees from the top down. Don't just get close to nature, be part of it; as its under a 20 minute drive away. If you'd prefer a less exciting day out then why not spend the day at Tavistock Trout Farm and Fishery; where you can catch a fish or two. The cottages provide all the homely comforts you would expect from a five star holiday; fully equipped kitchens, WIFI, ipod docking stations and sound systems, along with plentiful sofas, blissfully comfortable beds, fine linen and fabulous en-suites, making relaxation easy. The Porter's Office sleeps four people in one double and one king (twin) bedroom, each with en-suite facilities. The spacious entrance hall is laid with beautiful Victorian tiles and the original panelling and ticket windows remain. The original Victorian cast iron fireplace and over mantel takes pride of place. Leather sofas and Victorian furniture help recreate a Victorian feel, reminiscent of the Station's past. The Refreshment Hall can sleep up to six people in three double bedrooms and the entrance porch features the original bread oven. The lounge has vaulted ceilings and a twisting staircase leading to a balustrade landing. Sumptuous furnishings, an imposing French crown chandelier and the original cast iron fireplace provide a room to relax in.

Directions
At the end of the southbound M5 take the A30, signposted Okehampton/Bodmin. Travel along the A30 for approximately 27 miles/43 km's. After the Okehampton junction take the next exit, the A386 to Tavistock. Travel across Dartmoor for 13 miles/21 km's passing through the hamlets of Lake, Lydford and Mary Tavy. Upon entering Tavistock, Kelly College is located on the right hand side. Proceed along the A386. At the mini roundabout keep left, taking the first exit onto Dolvin Road. A cemetery is on the left. At the next roundabout take the second exit, crossing the River Tavy, then keep to the right hand side. Go straight over the mini roundabout into Bedford Square. At the next mini roundabout take the second exit, straight over, heading up the hill on Drake Road. After 200 metres/220 yards pass under a railway viaduct. 15 metres/16 yards later turn sharply right and immediately right again, passing under the viaduct once again and entering Quant Park. Old Tavistock Railway Station can be found 100 metres/110 yards ahead, at the end of the road.
