There is plenty to see and do close by. Visit the cavalier town of Torrington which is steeped in history. Take a step back in time to 1646 and take part in a Civil War reconstruction. Spend a day on Lundy Island, home of the puffin and a wide variety of flora and fauna. The Tarka Trail runs close by, the 180 mile route takes walkers and cyclists through North and Mid Devon. Clovelly is a unique village and ideal for a day trip. Meander through its cobbled streets, visit its specialist shops or enjoy the views from the harbour. Westward Ho, Instow and other beaches offer visitors a variety of choice, and none are too far from the Inn.
