Rooms Description

Bedrooms are cosy with either double or kingsize beds, or single or full-size bunk beds, some en-suite. Chairs, throws, cushions and dressing tables with mirrors in each bedroom. As all our bedrooms are slightly different please see individual cottage descriptions on our own website.

Specialities

It's all about peace and tranquility at Dittiscombe: All the cottages have private gardens with lovely views of the valley. Most cottage gardens have some herbs growing in the borders or in pots, and guests are welcome to use these during their visit. Our 20-acre conservation valley is all maintained and managed for the enjoyment of our guests. There is a nature trail, ponds and a stream, a woodland, meadows and wildflower banks - all on the doorstep of the cottages. And we provide wildlife guides and books so that guests, if they wish, can identify and record the plants and animals that they see. We have a large network of Devon hedgerows which together with many acres of grassland and meadows provide rich habitats for a variety of birds and insects. Many previous guests have enjoyed spotting our visiting and resident birds such as skylarks, pied-wagtails, little owl, long-tailed tits, snipe, moorhen, kestrels and sparrowhawks Dogs are welcome here at Dittiscombe with a nature trail for 'walkies' on site. We take up to 2 dogs in Willows, and although we restrict the total number during busy times, we will consider requests for 2 dogs in other cottages, depending on size, breed and age. We accept dogs in Honeysuckle, Willows, Dovecote, Buddleia and Rafters.
