The hotel enjoys an idyllic setting between the seafront and the country and is superbly situated for access to the beautiful and historic thatched village of Cockington. A variety of rooms are available, including suites for families who wish to have their children close by but not sharing the same room with them. Our new double en suite garden room has been totally refurbished and opens directly onto the patio and gardens. We also have a large family room which sleeps four and opens directly onto the patio and gardens. Well-behaved dogs are allowed in both of our Garden Rooms. Indeed we have our own two dogs Toffee and Phoebe who occasionally sit with us in our office. The bedrooms are light and airy, and provide TV and complimentary refreshments. Set in mature lush gardens, you can enjoy a refreshing dip in our small outdoor heated swimming pool between May and September or soak up the sun on our patio or large level lawn. For those travelling with their car, we have our own large private car park but are just a short walk from the Station if you choose to let the train take the strain! We also offer free wi fi for those guests who need to keep in touch with colleagues, friends and family.
In a truly idyllic location, we are situated approximately 100 yards from the clean sands of Livermead beach and the seafront. Approximately 100 yards in the opposite direction are the tree lined meadows of the Cockington Country Park, which lead directly to the delightful village of Cockington, with its 14th Century Thatched Forge. Alternatively you can travel in style in one of the horse drawn carriages that runs down Cockington Lane and past The Charterhouse on a regular basis. Whilst picturesque Cockington offers thatched cottages, cream teas and the Manor Court with all its local crafts, central Torquay also offers, theatres, shops and the buz of a seaside destination.
