The Belfry Country Hotel and Restaurant is situated in an idyllic corner of England near the historic market town of Honiton in Devon. Relax, unwind and pamper yourself in our peaceful, friendly hotel setting. The hotel was originally the Yarcombe village schoolhouse and is one of the key buildings in the centre of the village, situated opposite the 13th Century church and possibly even older pub, The Yarcombe Inn. This character hotel is built mainly of flint cob, with stone mullioned windows set with leaded, stained windows. Dating back to 1872, it was commissioned by the family of Sir Francis Drake. The hotel offers the comfort and friendliness of a small Bed and Breakfast combined with the quality and level of service you would normally expect from a much larger hotel. Special offer breaks are available throughout the year, and The Belfry is a smoke, child and stress-free hotel.

The Village of Yarcombe is in the heart of one of the oldest parishes in England. Situated in the centre of the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty the village offers views of and access to some of the most stunning scenery in the country. The Belfry has a small area of garden to the south, laid to patio and flower borders with tables and chairs for our guests to enjoy during the fine weather. The views across the village and the valley beyond are stunning, particularly from the first floor. Our dining room was once the infant's class of Yarcombe village school, and guests can now enjoy fine dining, with extensive restaurant menu offered and house parties of 12 to 14 guests catered for. We also offer a superb Wine list. Enjoy also an extensive breakfast menu, including Full English Breakfast. We use local produce from local farm shops and special dietary requirements are catered for.
