The friendly and homely lounge is equipped with a colour TV.The Riviera is a delightful 3* AA Guest Accommodation ideally situated in the heart of Plymouth on the Hoe, and built circa 1885. It retains many of it original Victorian features typical of the period and is full of charm and character. We're also conveniently situated only a few steps from the famous Plymouth Hoe, close to the site where Sir Frances Drake played and finished his game of bowls prior to defeating the approaching Spanish Armada in 1588. Plymouth's historical Barbican is only five minutes walk away and Plymouth town centre is also just a 5 minute walk. Guests also benefit from easy access to ferry connections, as we are just a one minute drive from the main French and Spanish ferry port. We are also within walking distance of the Theatre Royal and the Plymouth Pavilions. We now offer WiFi and an Internet PC both at a minimal charge.
The accommodation is arranged over four floors, with one elegant internal staircase leading to all. The Guest House is non smoking throughout for the comfort of all, and the ground floor houses the informal bar and lounge. With their friendly and homely atmosphere the bar and lounge are perfect for relaxation and for meeting with friends and family. The lounge is equipped with a colour television. Just to the right of the Bar and Lounge is the dining area with seating for 24 guests. All meals are freshly cooked at the time of ordering and once again an emphasis is made on the homely atmosphere.
Guests can choose from eleven bedrooms, with eight being en suite. All rooms come equipped with colour television and hairdryers together with tea and coffee making facilities. Direct dial telephones are available in all rooms.

From Exeter; From the A38 take the Plymouth exit. Follow signs into City Centre eventually you will enter a one way system. As you leave the one way system there is a blue footbridge just before a roundabout. At the roundabout turn left. At the second set of traffic lights there is an Esso garage. take the road on the left (Bretonside). At the mini roundabout turn left. Keep on this road until you come to a set of traffic lights with a pub on the left hand corner called "The Walrus". At "The Walrus" turn left and go straight over the crossroads. We are 50 metres on the right hand side.
