Holsworthy Golf and Holiday Hotspot Between Devon/Cornwall Devon UK
Tarka Country anyone? Holsworthy is one of Devon's hidden little gems. A delightful old market town, set in the gentle countryside of Tarka country. A key part of Holsworthy's appeal, and probably why there are so many amenities here including pubs, inns, shops, cafes and lots of accommodation, is it's prime location. You're near everything in Holsworthy, including the Atlantic Heritage Coast of both Devon and Cornwall, Holsworthy is close to Bude and the North Devon Coast surfing hotspots of Croyde and Woolacombe. It's close to Dartmoor National Park as well!
There's plenty of entertainment in Holsworthy itself, including a heated swimming pool, outdoor bowls, a sports centre, a local museum, plenty of fishing venues for fishing fans and a cricket and football club!
Holsworthy in Tarka Country
As you'd expect from an ancient market town, Holsworthy has it's own Pannier Market every Wednesday, in the central square. This North Central Devon town has much appeal in general, with some superb walking in and around the area, taking in some of the many smaller villages and hamlets that surround Holsworthy. Check out the little local Holsworthy Museum which has 5 individually themed rooms, all offering information through exhibitions and photographs on local Holsworthy life, past and present!
Lots of traditional Devon pubs and inns in Holsworthy, fantastic. It's well equipped as a family holiday base, with easy access in all directions, and thoroughly convenient for both Devon and Cornwall! It has it's own very well equipped tourist information centre as well, so you can pop in there and get all the information you'll need on local walks and attractions further afield in Devon and Cornwall.

Holsworthy Golf Club
As well as being a Devon hotspot for swimming, fishing and walking in Tarka country Holsworthy has it's very own golf club. Holsworthy golf club is a challenging parkland golf course, with tuition available on-site, plus a full bar and catering facilities. It's a good one for begninners, or seeking to improve their golf. No handicap is required, but a standard dress code does apply. It's an 18 hole golf course, with a 70/71 Par. Green Fees are available.
