This was shortly followed by flights to Plymouth and Cardiff by Railway Air Services. During this period long haul flights began to appear, particularly to Toronto in Canada and daily Flybe flights to Glasgow, Edinburgh and Belfast, and of course all the major airlines like First Choice, Britannia, Spanair and Air Malta coming on board offering flights mainly to Mediterranean destinations.
Exeter Airport today is currently being sold off into private hands by the longterm owners Devon County Council, so it could be facing a new future! This airport offers passengers an excellent range of services including a Food Village offering a wide selection of hot and cold food, Cafe Select, a Concourse Shop/come newsagents, cash machines, a travel agents and a Bureau de Change.
