Exeter Restaurants

As you'd expect from city of culture and the arts Exeter, the choice of restaurants, cafes and bars is simply superb. With a nod to Devon produce, especially fish dishes, you'll find everything from informal yet glamorous cafe dining with entertainment, say at the Brazz to delightfully accessible cuisine of French trained guru chef Michael Caines. Find Michael Caines at the Royal Clarence Hotel in Cathedral's Yard, Exeter. Caines' hometown is Exeter!

Or how about the unique Darts Farm, not just a superb restaurant using local Devon produce, but also voted best Farm Shop. Darts Farm has got lots of other bits and bats going on including luxury childrens clothes for sale, there's an Aga Shop, and an art gallery.

Exeter Festivals

Exeter, you'll discover is the city of festivals - some big some small. One of the biggest is the superb Animated Exeter festival held annually every February involving two weeks of animated antics, with everything from animated films showings to special effects workshops. In the 2005 Animated Exeter festival they had special effects guru Ray Harryhausen over, famous for his Sinbad and Clash of the Titans film work. Remember Medusa in Clash of the Titans - that was his superb work! There was a Resolution Computer day as well exploring animation in computer games. Many Exeter Festivals and Fairs such as the Devon County Antiques Fair are based at Exeter's large stadium venue, Westpoint.

Devon Family Holidays - Crealy Adventure Park

Just off the M5 on the A3052 Sidmouth Road near Exeter is a superb Devon family day out. Crealy Adventure Park Devon has family fun at the top of it's list. There's nine adventure rides here, a selection of animals in the Realm of Animals ,Bumper Boat rides, log flumes, pirate ships, and rollercoasters, Tidal Waves, Whisky's Wood with park rangers on hand as guides, or how about that Sunflower Maze. A great family fun adventure park ideally close to Exeter and the Devon Coast.

They do kids parties too at this superb family adventure park, and special days like Grandparents days when grandparents gain access to the amusement park free of charge! Summer opening times are 10am-5pm from 19th March - 22 July, and 6th Sept - 31st Oct, and High Summer from 10am-6pm from 23 July - 5th September. Winter Opening times are Wednesdays - Fridays, 10am-5pm from 1st November-31st March, and on Weekends and Holidays, during the same period. Special discounts are on offers for seniors.
